Dr. Connie Christie
Dr. Christie is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (D.A.O.M.), a nationally board- certified Diplomat, a licensed acupuncturist in the state of California and a Certified Rolfer™. She has been a natural healthcare practitioner since 2005.
She started seeing clients as a Certified Rolfer in the early 2000’s, although her interest in health began in her teens when she took control of a personal health concern and started to steer the course of her own life. Later, Rolfing™ was her first introduction to a holistic paradigm of health and it began her personal and professional health journey.
In her free time, she enjoys family, gardening, food, herbal and skincare preparation, walking her dogs, catering to her cats, hiking, biking, traveling, world cultures and creating art and eternally appreciating and enjoying the wonder and beauty of nature.

Affinity Acupuncture & Rolfing was relocated in 2015, with the goal of promoting holistic healthcare in the local community of Mar Vista, where Dr. Christie also resides.
Dr. Christie has a comprehensive knowledge of biomedicine and has worked closely with internists, integrated medicine MDs, physiatrists, chiropractors, nurse practitioners, and physical therapists. She has treated patients for pain as well as stress, emotional imbalances, respiratory, autoimmune diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, men’s health issues of BPH, and women’s health issues such as PMS, PCOS, fertility, menopause and other hormonal imbalances.
Practicing from a holistic paradigm, Dr. Christie honors the individual before her, whatever the symptoms may be. She provides a healing and caring environment where she encourages her patients to become active participants in their healing process.

Kristin Price
Kristin grew up in Los Angeles and was rigorously trained in ballet from age 9.
She attended UC Irvine’s dance program, but shifted her academic interests to Pre-Med and Biological Sciences after facing some injuries. Upon graduation, she became certified as an EMT and worked in an emergency department as a scribe. She conducted clinical and basic science research, including stem cell research at UCLA, and subsequently applied to medical school. Although she was accepted to 4 medical schools, Kristin took it upon herself to pursue deeper meaning and purpose to her life and career and thus devoted herself to yoga, meditation, and Buddhism.
It was through these modalities that she discovered the art and science of acupuncture.
In light of this newfound passion, she attended Yo San University for Traditional Chinese Medicine for her graduate degree, where she received the Dean’s Award for high GPA on multiple occasions, and was elected President of the Student Association.
At present, she treats patients using her unique, holistic, and intuitive style of acupuncture and herbology that is informed by her Eastern and Western training.
As a licensed practitioner, she has found a passion for helping her patients overcome physical pain, emotional distress, and women's health concerns. She takes pride in helping her patients get back to the activities they love.
Kristin is pleased to join Dr. Christie in treating women’s health issues of hormonal balance, fertility, prenatal and postpartum care and menopausal concerns.

Shawn O'Shea
Shawn is a California Licensed Acupuncturist, a Nationally Board-Certified Diplomat in Oriental Medicine and has a B.A. in Biology.
She was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Hawaii in her teenage years. While living in several small towns in the Islands of Hawaii for 15 years, she was fortunate to experience the value, comfort and care of being a member of a close-knit community.
After returning to California, her lifelong love of animals and healing led her to practice in the field of canine rehabilitation. It was during this experience she realized the amazing results and lasting benefits of acupuncture and Asian herbal practice had on animals. This inspired her to return to school to study Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Shawn specializes in pain management but her experience working with small communities in Hawaii and treating animals allowed her to gain insight into internal medicine and chronic health conditions. She realizes the importance of treating the whole person as an intricate, inter-connected system.
In her free time, she enjoys biking, hiking, gardening, going to the beach and spending time with her family, which includes 2 dogs, a cat and a pig!

Lu Yu
Lu feels blessed to have the ability to help others during the best time of her life.
Lu Yu is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of California. She graduated from Alhambra Medical University. Coming from a holistic medicine lineage, her grandfather was a Chinese medicine doctor, the concept of the life force of Chi flowing through the meridians of the body was instilled in her from a very young age. This medical milieu as well as her eternal interest in the connection between the body and the spirit, made studying Chinese medicine a natural progression.
Lu brings her past life experiences of Chinese opera singing and Personal Feng Shui consulting as well as her hobbies, into her TCM practice. She realizes this deepens and enriches her diagnosis skills and healing perspective. After all, everything in the world is about energy exchange.
Highly proficient in the treatment of pain and women's health, Lu devotes her TCM practice to support each person and the community in obtaining the highest possible healing to meet their unique health and wellness goals.
She is excited to offer TCM and other energy healing methods to our patients at Affinity Acupuncture & Rolfing.
Her daily meditation and creation of a healing form, using her voice and singing bowls to create a healing resonance field, balance her professional and personal life.
