  • Door knobs, reception chairs, and other contact surfaces are disinfected regularly.
  • Any employee exhibiting respiratory symptoms has been asked to stay home.

What to Expect on Your First Visit

Your first medical appointment begins with a comprehensive health assessment interview, usually followed by an acupuncture treatment. We want to get to know you, and begin to understand the root of your health concerns (this first treatment typically takes 60-90 minutes). Be prepared to provide a list of your current medications and nutritional supplements. We will answer your questions and discuss a specialized treatment plan.

Acupuncture uses hair-thin needles and is generally painless. A dull or achy sensation may be felt with needle insertion and this is very normal. All needles used are ONE-TIME USE, sterile and disposable. Most people find acupuncture very relaxing; in fact, many patients fall asleep on the table.

To prepare for an acupuncture treatment:

  • Wear comfortable clothing
  • Do not eat a big meal just prior or come hungry
