I was born and raised in Los Angeles. Having an aptitude for sciences and dual interests in the human mind and applied science, I studied both psychology and electrical engineering in college. However, my passion throughout my teenage and early adult life was nutrition and fitness. Upon graduating with honors from California State University, Northridge, I had a 17 year career as an engineer eventually resigning from Boeing Aerospace.
At the peak of my career as an aerospace engineer, I suffered from chronic fatigue and depression. Seeking health and spiritual changes brought me back to my earlier interests in nutrition and fitness, and eventually Asian medicine. I started practicing manual therapy in 2001 and later studied Rolfing at the Rolf Institute after experiencing a light, balanced, and fluid body during Rolfing.
Introduced to Asian medicine at Yo San University, it’s natural balance and harmony immediately resonated with me and thus I began my Asian medicine journey. To deepen by knowledge and experience, and because I am an eternal student, I then pursued a doctorate in Asian medicine at OCOM in Portand, Oregon.
My journey has bought me full circle. Home and at my clinic in Mar Vista, I am working to fulfill my life’s purpose of using my knowledge, compassion, and healing skills to facilitate positive change in people’s health and inspire meaningful transformations in other’s lives.
I’d love to hear your story. Please share it with me.
